Security Alarm System
Description
This system is activated automatically 15 seconds after everything has been closed and locked. The security alarm system
indicator light located on the driver’s door panel will flash after the doors are properly locked.
If any of the following conditions occur, the horns will sound, the headlights will pop up and flash, and the side marker
lights, parking lights and taillights will flash for about two minutes, or until the system is disarmed by unlocking either
door from the outside with the key.
Door is opened forcibly.
Engine compartment lid is opened.
Trunk lid is opened without using the key.
Hood is opened.
Roof is unlatched (NSX-T “open top”).
Flowchart of the security alarm system operation:
Battery terminal(s) is (are) removed and reconnected.
Engine starter circuit and battery circuit are bypassed
by breaking the ignition switch.
Hood/engine compartment lid/trunk lid opener or roof
release lever (NSX-T “open top”) in the vehicle is
operated.
Remove the key from the ignition switch
• Ignition key switch OFF
Close all the doors, hood, engine com-
partment lid, and trunk lid. The roof can
be unlatched or latched.
NOTE: Both roof lock switches have to
be in the same position.
• Both door switches OFF
• Engine compartment lid switch OFF
• Hood switch OFF
• Trunk lid switch OFF
• Both roof lock switches OFF or ON
(NSX-T “open top”)
Lock the driver’s or passenger’s door from the out-
side by using the key.
• Door lock knob switches OFF
• Door key cylinder switch OFF
(PREARMED)
15 sec passed?
The security alarm system is armed.

Illegal activity
1. Door is opened forcibly. or
2. Engine compartment lid is opened. or
3. Trunk lid is opened without using the key. or
4. Hood is opened. or
5. Battery terminal(s) is(are) disconnected
and reconnected. or
6. Engine starter circuit and battery circuit are
bypassed by breaking the ignition switch. or
7. Hood/engine compartment lid/trunk lid opener or roof
release lever (NSX-T “open top”) is operated. or
8. Stereo radio/cassette player is disconnected.
Alarm
The horns sound and headlights, side marker lights and
taillights flash repeatedly for two minutes.
Engine starter circuit interrupted.
About two minutes passed? Want the system disarmed?
Either door is unlocked by using the key.
• Either door key cylinder switch
The security alarm system is disarmed.
Indicator stops flashing.
